David T. Stowell

Business Advice:
In Mr. Stowell's business practice, he counsels a wide range of clients from individuals, entrepreneurs,
and small business to public companies and religious, charitable and educational institutions on the daily operational issues and problems
involved in today s complex business environment. For over twenty eight years, Mr. Stowell has assisted clients in business formations,
daily business issues, contracts, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, construction projects, corporate matters and business
transactions.
Business Litigation and Appelatte Practice:
When litigation is required, Mr. Stowell resolves disputes efficiently and effectively. In state and
federal courts and alternative dispute resolution settings, Mr. Stowell has successfully litigated, arbitrated and mediated hundreds of
cases involving commercial disputes, breach of contract, business torts, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate derivative actions,
real estate disputes, complex easement disputes, trade secrets, unfair competition, lender liability, securities fraud, partnership
dissolutions, broker-dealer liability, insurance coverage, computer licenses and corporate governance and control. Since 1982, Mr. Stowell
has prosecuted successfully dozens of state and federal appeals on behalf of clients, including ten separate appeals in 2008-2009.
Recent Honors and Awards:
In 2009, Mr. Stowell was named a Southern California Super Lawyer, a recognition garnered by only five
percent of the attorneys in the State of California and based on a detailed research process that relies upon numerous indicators of peer
recognition and professional achievement. Mr. Stowell has also been recognized in the Presidential Who's Who and Montclair's Who's Who in
North America. For over eighteen years, Mr. Stowell has held Martindale-Hubbell s highest rating (AV) for legal ability and ethics. In
addition, he has twice been selected in the Who's Who in Professional Services by the Pacific Coast Business Times.
Education and Affiliations:
In 1981, Mr. Stowell, earned his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he graduated
cum laude, was the school's valedictorian, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Pepperdine University Law Review. Mr. Stowell is admitted
to practice law in all California state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States
Supreme Court. He is also a member of numerous local and national bar associations and committees.
Charitable and Civic:
Mr. Stowell is involved in several charitable and non-profit institutions. He currently serves as Legal
Advisor to the Ventura County Museum of History and Art and as an Elder on Session at Malibu Presbyterian Church. He is regularly available
for speaking engagements.
