Phillip B. Slot
practices in the areas of business and real estate litigation as well as land use law and
environmental compliance. During law school, Mr. Slot was a judicial extern for Chief Judge Robert Bell
of the Federal District Court for the Western District of Michigan, where he gained valuable experience
on a wide range of litigation issues. During law school, Mr. Slot also clerked for Shimon & Lovaas,
in Las Vegas, a law firm focusing on construction law, real estate, and commercial litigation.
Mr. Slot joined Stowell, Zeilenga, Ruth, Vaughn & Treiger in 2006 as a law clerk, and was admitted
to the California State Bar in 2007. Mr. Slot was also admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2008.
Education and Affiliations:
Mr. Slot earned a B.B.A. degree in business economics and graduated cum laude from Grand Valley State
University in Michigan. Also while in college, Mr. Slot founded an L.L.C. that purchased, restored,
and marketed residential property in foreclosure. In 2007, Mr. Slot graduated from Pepperdine University
School of Law.
Mr. Slot is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. In his spare time, Mr. Slot enjoys mountain biking and running.
